On December 28, 2021, SEM organized a visit to NavInfo Co., Ltd., one of the alumni enterprises, to strengthen the exchange and contact among the alumni, SEM and students of SEM. Wu Sen, Chairperson of the Party Committee of SEM, Ni Yu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Associate Dean of the school, Wei Guiying and Yan Rui, teachers of the Department of Management Science and Engineering, Qin Yifang, Director of the Public Relations Office of SEM, Ge Yuyang, career guidance teacher of the school, alumni and students of SEM attended the visit.
Before the visit, Wu Sen, Chairperson of the Party Committee of SEM communicated with Senior Vice President Song Tiehui, an outstanding alumnus of SEM to express greetings and concerns of the school to the alumni and alumni enterprises. In the meantime, the alumni, teachers and students signed up at the lobby of the NavInfo building and took a group photo.

In the Self-driving Experience Room, an employee introduced the self-driving vehicle to them. Then they watched a video to know more about the vehicle. They showed great interest in the vehicle and asked questions about it, which were provided with professional and detailed answers from the employee.

After the on-site experience, Song Tiehui, Senior Vice President of NavInfo, representatives of employees who graduated from USTB, and all the participants of SEM attended the exchange meeting. The meeting was hosted by Li Liling, General Manager of the Administration Department of NavInfo.
Song Tiehui delivered a speech to express his warm welcome to the arrival of alumni, teachers and students and talked about the close relationship between NavInfo and USTB. He then introduced the development and research direction of his company, some of which are in concordance with the development of SEM. Therefore, he hoped that there would be more opportunities for mutual exchange and learning in the future.

Wu Sen, Chairperson of the Party Committee of SEM, introduced the developments in USTB and SEM. After 70 years of development, USTB has transformed into a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education with coordinated development of engineering, science, management, literature, economics and law while featuring engineering disciplines. After 40 years of development since 1981, with joint efforts from generations of faculties and students, SEM has become an education and research institution of economic management with considerable level and scale and is gradually acquiring an international prestige. After this, Wu briefed on the development of the Alumni Association of SEM and expressed her gratitude to NavInfo for receiving this visit, envisioning more opportunities for exchange and learning in the future.

During the session for alumni speech, Zhang Yalin, an alumnus of postgraduate Management Class 1983, said that the visit provided an excellent opportunity for the alumni to learn about the outstanding alumni enterprises, and the development of NavInfo as a benchmark of the industry is a worthwhile example for all the participants. On behalf of the Alumni Association of SEM, Zhang Yalin introduced the Entrepreneur Association branch in preparation and hoped that more alumni entrepreneurs could join it to exchange and grow together.
